Sartorialist & Fashion Designer: Deborah Anne Simcox

Designer Bio:
British designer Deborah Anne Simcox graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK with a BA (Hons) degree in Fashion Design and Technology in 2004. Along with a portfolio of previous experience including; Thomas Burberry design studio London, DKNY Manchester and The Limited in NYC Deborah went on to design and manage a Beach Wear brand called ‘Bambu Beach’ in Dubai, UAE for six and a half years. In early 2009 she decided to start a new conceptual brand of diverse, unconventional women’s wear and as such ‘Sartori Sartori’ was born, making its mark on the ever evolving Dubai Fashion sceen and later expanded to Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the rest of the GCC region.

Deborah combines structural and fluid 3D forms through a technique called Moulage; this practice involves physically molding and sculpting fabric onto the mannequin to generate un-usual 3D shapes which are then used to realize her signature theatrical design style.
